Some of my black and white photography

This is a vent for my love of the alternative and creative ways of photography. My goal is to post pictures with a new theme every month (not to be too ambitious!). Most likely black and white, all produced in the good old analog way.

The old days

Even had time for some Lith-printing. Pictures from Ventnor, UK, a pretty old seaside resort. Just as we'd finished off our Fish and chips the mist rolled in, a photographers dream!

Some advanced toning-business going on in the studio...it takes a lot of time and effort but it's worth it!

Holiday

PinholePosted by Sarah Lycksten Wed, July 28, 2010 19:36:36

Back from holiday and lots of pictures to develop! But as long as the sun is shining I'll give it a break, summer is way to short in Sweden.

Night out

B&WPosted by Sarah Lycksten Thu, July 08, 2010 15:51:57

A lovely night out! Great concert with John Grant playing at the Pustervik theatre.
Pictures are taken handheld at 1/15, very low light but I'm happy with the results.

Going under water with my Nikon Calypso...I am hooked! There will be plenty of underwater pics this summer.

Pinhole Holga

PinholePosted by Sarah Lycksten Fri, June 18, 2010 09:23:35

A pinhole from "Andra LÄnggatans dag" hundreds of people in the street listening to music and hanging out! I like the Holga much better now without a lens.

Another Holga

B&WPosted by Sarah Lycksten Sun, May 23, 2010 22:03:17

Actually I have already rebuilt the my newly bought Holga into a pinhole camera. I used to own one but out of this new one very few nice pictures came out. So I slaughtered it, stripped it down and replaced the crappy lens with a pinhole. Pictures to come soon!

Nature

B&WPosted by Sarah Lycksten Tue, May 11, 2010 22:09:57

My first owl! As soon as I can find a larger lens I will pay him another visit. Of course I couldn't resist this little girl either, jumping in front of my camera at all times!
